Review:

12:45 P.M April 19th My girlfriend Rhoda and myself, Maggot arrived downtown to meet with U.I/Invisible records street rep leaders, Suzan (from Bozo Porno Circus) and Luke, the infamous Invisible records merch guy. We waited by the tour bus for what seemed to be an eternity.

1:20 P.M. April 19th My first vision of life stumbling from the bus comes into focus. It looks like someone i know. I looked at Rhoda, she looked at me and i felt like i needed to look back at myself to confirm the oddness afoot. Sure enough it was Rodney. Rodney manages Chi-town's very own serial killer oriented metal band, Macabre! Rodney and i both looked at each other in amazement and then noticed both of us were wearing Macabre clothing. Even more odd than that was the fact that we were at Pigface and not a blast beat metal show. On with the story.....Rodney went and found Luke and Suzan, who both stirred from the bus a little later.

1:35 P.M. (aprox) We finally seen Luke and Suzan. It seemed like we were at the music awards and the stars were coming down the red carpet. Luke looked like a victim of a blackout. His hair was shaved into some odd inverted mohawk, which i believe someone gave him when he passed out on the bus from to much partying. I may be totally way off base and hopefully noone gets offended, but i enjoyed the moment. Suzan was the cutesy lil gothy girl wearing the Pigface workshirt with a "Nude" patch on it. We all got introduced around and were told to wait around for a sec and things will start coming into play.

Now after a while, time got out of hand so i just lost track . Thus begins the chaotic event known as the Pigface set up. Rhoda had to drive people back and forth to the hotel for showers and i offered to help unload the two trailers. During this whole time various Pigface members and other assorted tour alumni start rolling off the bus. I ran into the always well "hatted" Levi from T.K.K. I seen Martin begin his quest for chaos to eat for breakfast. In my opinion i think he works better under pressure!!!!! We continued to load all the 50 billion pounds of necessary equipment into the Galaxy nightclub. The club ended up having so much shit everywhere from and for the tour/concert, which was unfolding before my eyes like a psychedelic carnival.

Rhoda and i met up some time later on and went on a quest for the roadies and assorted others. Our mission was to pick up a 2x4 (8ft), some weird wiring, a motorcycle battery charger or something of the nature and a few other items. This was some time around 5 o'clock when we got back down the venue. Rhoda was doing laundry for the band and kept on doing so 'til about 2 am. That was not the only thing she did. She did get to hang with the band members to party and was able to see the show. I do not want to give the impression that she was locked in the basement and forced to do this. What the roadies needed the stuff for was a prop. They made a big cross with lights on it and ran it off the charger. It got used during the Pigface set and was real cool! Chaos, chaos, chaos. Down to the wire, tons of people running everywhere trying to get the last moments worth of stuff done. Merch being put out and folded, techs tweaking the instruments and lights. Just plain fucking nuts!!!!!!! The place was crazy. People were finally let in the venue and they noticed the big sign saying there was no alcohol being served. Bummer deal!!!! Tub Ring started to play and i was standing outside looking for Rhoda, who had went home to do more of the Pigface laundry. I wanted to see the whole show but you know how that is. Well she finally shows up and is all cleaned up and looking sexy. We had to run back home to get the rest of the Pigface laundry and i felt like i needed a well deserved clean shirt after messing around with equipment and helping out the tour folks. We got back to the Galaxy about 9 o'clock PM and Bile was coming off the stage. This bummed me out due to the fact it's not everyday someone like Krztoff and Bile play here and it's like heavy metal sounding to me, but electronic. Rhoda and i floated around the club and waited for the next band, which was actually our first to see on this eve. I just kept remembering "all in the name of the lil piggiefaces!" That sounds totally stupid but for some reason that phrase was drilled in my head all day. Zeromancer hits the stage and blows the audience away. Not bad at all. These dudes were from Norway and contained this retro industrial dance vibe in their music. It was neat to check out. Not my usual forte but i still recommend them if you need some new upbeat music in the industrial vein. The band was very fun to watch. They were always moving, working the whole stage. The drummer was always smiling. Could not figure out if he was happy or really fucked up. I went with happy, because i was. The presence of all these great bands, this energy flowing throughout the air, my buzz, i felt like i was in this heavenly peaceful place. Good job Zeromancer!!!!!!! Next on stage was a favorite, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. It almost seems like i could start a new paragraph with just their name in it and feel like my emotion was delivered. They truly are "kooler than jesus"! TKK always delivers the goods on stage. They got power, sex appeal (where was the Bomb Gang Girls?), evil psychotic acid drenched vocals compliment of Groovie and psychedelic keyboards by the man behind the pulpit of acid, Buzz McCoy. They truly blew my mind. Odd thing, Groovie kept taking his shades off! I've never seen that. I always assumed he was perfectly blissed the fuck out under them shades and he didn't have to deal with bright lights. I was right!!!!! He was totally gone......i got pics to prove it!!!! Well anyway they played a lot of my favs and some newer stuff. Someone give these dudes some more pillz so they keep touring and putting out music!!!!!!! Next up on stage was Pigface. The moment i was waiting for had arrived. I wish i could describe every moment, every note, every everything, but i was so engrossed in the show. I felt like the party had come to peek as i was. So bright , so vivid!!!!! You will have to see the pictures i took and visually experience what i did. I fucked it up out in the pit, camera in hand, and snapping pictures. It was great. I was two people back from the stage loving life, loving Pigface. I just needed to hug everyone so i turned around opened my arms and gave everyone in my path a huge hug that knocked many a people over. Infact it felt so good i did it a bunch of times. It seemed like they wanted to hug back. Hahahahahah !! Total chaos, i had the time of my life!!!! The band gave 350% and i tried to return that much love back, hence being there all day. This was one event not to miss. Words cannot express the godlike stage presence of Pigface. The ever changing members and sounds. The vibe, the love, the power. Pigface is and always will be one of my favorite shows to see live. There is no other!!!! Well the night was drawing to the end. I seen many more of my favorite musicians up and floating around like Curse from Grimm Faeries, Groovie Mann, Michelle from Voodou and many more. I helped load the stuff back into the trailers and talked to a few people here and there. Rhoda was having a blast and still doing laundry, mostly folding. We finished everything up and said our goodbyes. We thanked Suzan for helping us out and letting us help out. WOW!!!! What a totally kick ass person she is. She even gave us hugs on the way out. Most americans are not like that, what a shame. Well sadly and rain drenched we made our way back to our car. What a nite!!! That was so much fun. I hope these words help you experience so of the situation. There is so much that happened but i am not gonna write it all down. I walked away a very satisfied customer. Thank you Pigface, Suzan, Martin, Luke, Rodney, Groovie, Dave (the doorguy), Michelle and the rest of the team/crew. "ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LIL PIGGIEFACES!!!!!!!"
