Review:

Long Time Coming is a band that will give you flashbacks, but you won’t be able to place exactly what you’re flashing back to. Very, very old school, they put you in an old KISS frame of mind. Very deliberate, very precise hard rock with an edge of insanity, teetering on the brink. Just to push you over, and make you rethink your first impression, they change it up a bit, as they did on this CD. The first two songs had a defining old school sound, while the third song seemed a bit more modern, heavier, and faster. The band displays a lot of talent, ranging wildly across the rock spectrum. At one point, you feel very much like you’re listening to some hidden KISS tracks, only to hear a new guitar come in very fluidly, sounding anywhere from Ace Freely to Jake E. Lee, leaving you wondering what the heck is going to come out next. The band has a clear command of their instruments, they are very tight, and the songs, while definitely more hard rock than metal, are unique and very well done.

If old school is what you’re looking for, look no further than Long Time Coming, they do it with the best of them.

Until next time.....Keep it heavy.
