Review:
Man, this band actually brings back memories. I say that because their music is so very much like a cross between KISS, and George Thorogood that it would at times be almost impossible to distinguish exactly who was playing. The first song on their disk sounds frighteningly similar to KISS’s Detroit Rock City Many of the songs following have very definite KISS influence, and track 5 has some very Thorogood type guitar work in it for sure as does every song following that. LoFreQ is most definitely talented at what they do, even though it is very apparent who their influences are. I think I would classify them as more hard rock than metal, but ironically, it’s very catchy to listen to. If you were a KISS fan, you will very much enjoy this band. Their album is 10 songs of old school rock and roll, checking in at 24:53. They play very smoothly and their transitions are rapid and frequent. Their musical ability is above average and I would have to believe that one of their shows would be high energy and exciting to go see.
