After seeing the track listing it almost feels as if I need not even review the album. What an incredible combination of volatile death/grind/gore metal bands!!! This is my first split album I have ever had and now I need to search for more, if the combo of bands is as incredible as this. Starting off the insanity, blast beating your cranium into a bloodied pulp, is the psychotic disemboweling tribe from Spain known as HAEMORRHAGE. First off the sound effects are truly fun and very much reminiscent of an old "B movie", or even better, psychotic insane asylum aural displeasures. Track one, "the Intro" truly sets the mode for the cadaverous dismembering that takes place in the next four songs. Being I had never heard this band before, I was truly pleased and had gladly accepted this band like a shot of meth straight into my brain while attempting to pound my head into the wall while the snare was going rampant. The vocals are very interesting as it seems to me someone forgot this is just a themed band based on gore and actually had slit one of the vocalists throats and had him scream at the top of his lungs, very cool!!!! The other vocal sounds like a very low guttural growl as similar to most other death based bands. I also had a liking for the cover Haemorrhage did of the old GRAVE song, "Deformed." Although there was only one intro and 4 songs, this was an excellent intro to Haemorrhage. Check out their website at: http://haemorrhage.ht.st The second band de force on this album was the ever popular medical grindcore band IMPALED, straight from St. Julien's Hospital. Pretty much in the same vein as the first band on this split, IMPALED dominates this split. The patients are doped up beyond all agitative insanity and they have the run of the asylum. Personally i think IMPALED are from said asylum and somehow managed to get some instruments, whether surgical or musical. Another trashcan snarefest and more brutality then my head can take. What phenomenal speed and multi vocalized music from these demented self proclaimed doctors. Reasons like this I want to promote the Razorback record label more. The samples create the whole asylum feel and add an element of horror to the 7 songs by IMPALED. Well actually 1 is an intro and there is an instrumental and then 5 songs. Lots of thrash and skill displayed throughout create no doubt in my mind why everyone should own this album. Check out IMPALED'S website at: http://impaled.info Lets not forget the artwork and pictures.

HAEMORRHAGE and IMPALED are truly two bands that are worth checking out even beyond this split. Speaking of split i have this headache that is driving me insane, time to perform some self surgikill methods of pain relief!
