My friend, Brad, now living in Turkey, sent me this because at the CD store there, they had this labelled as the NIGHTWISH of Turkey, and he knows I worship Tarja and company. How can someone like FUCK I’M DEAD and NIGHTWISH? I’m a freak!
Well, this band features a duel female vocal team and also a violinist that makes things interesting from time to time. The male vocals are flatter than (man, I almost said it) an Oklahoma mountain. Holy crap, they are bad! Ok, this CD is awful, simply because of the male vocals! I will not deal with this! Can someone send me an edited copy of this without the male vocals, because the rest of it smokes? The interaction of the violin and the guitars is spectacular, and the female vocals are a real treat! Now, let’s talk about the flute. Ok, I will deal with it, just this once! Ok, JETHRO TULL’S "Aqualung" is all that was ever needed, ok?
But this is one special album, minus that dude who sings like a stuck donkey! The arrangements are awesome and it has a flavor all its own. You could really spend some time with this one, if you don’t throw yourself from a cliff after hearing the dude sing!
