I kept hearing how ABORTED was just the super shit but I really was not interested. I have my gore bands, my grind bands, and just did not need to look any further for any more. Even when I got this cd and people were like whipping their shit out and wacking it on my car going dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still was just like, eh, whatever……………. And unbelievable to those reading this, I am still going to say, eh, whatever. It’s quality grindcore, no doubt. The music is so tight, the riffs are just bad ass, it is well crafted, musical insanity, but that’s about it. It’s nothing we have not heard CARCASS, EXHUMED, GENERAL SURGERY, ______________ (add in your choice of 50 other bands) do before.
ABORTED! Rock the fuck on, brothers! I love the record, but throw us a bone here. Jam out some melody, or bust into a hyper-gloom polka version of “Hell Awaits” in 1/88 time signature or something, you know. This is a superb album but there are a lot of superb grind bands, man.
