INTERVIEW:

Well the first thing is, it is nice to see Conquest getting the attention they deserve, so what is in the works right now?

Currently we are touring and promoting the "No Boundries" release, As well as working on tunes for the next recording. Conquest has spent the last few years refining our sound and creating a fresh, new pure metal assult.

How long has Conquest been together and how has the line up been?

Conquest has been running strong for the last 10 years with a portfolio to back up our efforts. The line up has changed, over the last ten years only twice when Mike Crook replaced Adrian Vesper and Robert Lloyd replaced Tony Restivo.

What would you have been the main influences of Conquest if any?

Conquest has and always be about Metal. We may not like all the diverse styles, but our influences range from Priest to Sabbath to old Metallica(ed. the only good Metallica in this mans opinion), Testament.

How many releases do Conquest have to date, and what are they?

Conquest recognizes " Damnation", and " No Boundries".

What release has been best recieved so far?

" No Boundries ", this is the best CD Conquest has put out by far.

I have gotten the Conquest newsletter and you guys have been quit busy, any long tours coming up?

Yes, we are touring a lot more on the " No Boundries " release, everything is going so good on the road we can`t get enough.

If I remember right, if not excuse me, I have seen Conquest at Club 367. What do you think of the shifts in the St. Louis scene in the last decade or so?

The scene I don`t have an opinion about, but Conquest have come full tilt, and is harder and heavier than ever.

What are some of the most listened to CD`s around Conquest?

Priest, lately the new Zakk Wyld, Pantara, Sabbath, Iced Earth.

Been watching any good movies?

I just watched " Trick or Treat ".

Like I said I am pretty new at this, so I have probebly missed a lot of things, but I will learn, so if you have anything else you would like to add I would be greatful?

Just keep true to your metal, and you will prevail.

In the primordial soup called heavy metal, a sickness is undulating the evil spirits that lie below to wake. Preparing to darkness to rise and crash through the very gates of Hell. A thundering force akin to a roar of one thousand deranged beasts. As the decadent vigilantly search through the murky depths, a dark champion has come clearly into the view. CONQUEST. The vision and the glory of true school metal has finally come haunt us all. It is an inescapable point that in the form of “No Boundaries” Conquest has shown nothing but sheer metal genius. To hold any song on the album above another would be an atrocity to any metal fan. Every song is a brilliant composition, roaring with fantastic musicianship. Bass player Robert Lloyd and drummer Tim Fleetwood keep the pace furious with impeccable timing. Guitarist Mike Crook pours gas on the collective fire with hard and gritty distortion. His masterful screaming solos will definitely make your horns rise. Then there is lead vocalist and guitarist Derrick Brumley. He is possibly one of the finest voices in metal. His razor sharp annunciation in combination with a voice that exudes passion is undeniable. The fantastic vocals are only further complimented with the band’s thought provoking lyrics. Without speaking above or below their audience, Conquest delivers their message and brandishes their opinions. These four horsemen are coming and their bringing the apocalypse with them. Seeing into your dark souls for fuel to feed the ever-growing darkness, there is no limitation to what could be acquired. Prepare and understand that there is nothing you can do but give in or be crushed by Conquest.
